Join award-winning picture book authors Bethany Barton and Katherine Roy for this informative, relaxed, and hilarious night out for parents! Drawing from their experience as authors, STEM educators, and moms, this dynamic duo will help attendees build new strategies for creating safe, fun, and age-appropriate conversations through science facts, humor, and open discussion. Roy will use plant and animal examples to discuss the topic of reproduction and Barton will share how to talk about viruses, the pandemic, and the importance of washing our hands in a fear-free way. The evening will include a hands-on craft, a book giveaway, refreshments, and a Q&A! Books will also be available for sale at the event. This program is designed for families with children ages 5-12.
