Streaming Video

Mid-Columbia Libraries offers cardholders free access to on-demand video streaming with the Kanopy streaming service. Customers can stream up to eight films and two series from The Great Courses per month. In Kanopy Kids, customers can enjoy unlimited videos per month; an internet connection is required. Kanopy showcases more than 30,000 of the world’s best films including award-winning documentaries, rare and hard-to-find titles, film festival favorites, indie and classic films, and world cinema with collections from Criterion Collection, PBS, and thousands of independent filmmakers.

Checkouts are limited to eight videos per month with a loan period of two or three days per video. Additionally, two series from The Great Courses can be veiwed each month with access to the entire series for thirty days. No software is required. Videos can be played in a browser, or you can download Kanopy apps foriPhone,iPad,AppleTV,Android,AndriodTV,Chromecast,Kindle Fire,FireTV, andRoku.
